The Case Against Kobe AND LeBron

Everywhere I look this week there are articles and thoughts on who the MVP of the NBA is this year. From what I gather, it'll come down to Kobe and LeBron. I'm terribly sick of the discussion but I'm going to do my part because the dead horse keeps giving me the stinkeye.

Neither guy deserves it. It's true. Here's why:

Bean
-I hate his face
-I hate his guts
-I hate Dyan Cannon's guts

Bron Bron
-I hate his face
-I hate his guts
-I hate Jay-Z's guts (he's pure evil I tell you!)

As if the above didn't knock your socks off, here's Chris Paul. He's averaging 21 points and 11 assists a game. And leading the league in steals. And carrying the Hornets on his back. Aaaaaaand I don't hate his guts. Or face.

A very good argument can be made for LeBron as MVP. And while Paul does have his kryptonite, I'm a sucker for point guards, as the play of the great ones affects the game more than any other player on the floor.

Ignore the media members desperate for a hotel rendezvous with Kobe and disregard LeBron's 50 point, 10 rebound performance in front of his puppet master last night. Cheer for the kid who instead of wishing for his teammates to get their asses shipped out, makes them better and has guided them through a playoff-destined season with supreme effort on both ends of the court.

You make a great point about Chris Paul's kryptonite.

Deron Williams for MVP!

I love and hate Paul. Mostly love him cause he is fun to watch with no vested interest in Hornets games. I hate him cause he destroys the Suns.

Kobe is a rapist and he wanted out of LA for the 1st month of the season.

Lebron, well i got nothing against him. So in my book its between Paul and Lebron

Your affinity for the point is silly We all know a good point is nice and makes the team fun to watch, but they won't make you win. Talk to Dallas and Phoenix about it.

Kobe owns your face.

The Lakers were much improved the minute they signed Derek Fisher and exiled Smush Parker. Would you agree?

Kobe might own my face, but compared to Chris Paul, he owns a far superior cast. Besides, if a point guard isn't good for much besides making the game more fun to watch, why did Bean pine so desperately for Jason Kidd?
