Baron Davis Gets "Much-Needed Rest," Leads Warriors to Lottery Land

Apparently Boom-Dizzle believes birthday parties to be more important than his team's playoff hopes. After attending a birthday party Sunday night in Scottsdale, Davis came out lethargic and flat in the the first half of a contest between his Warriors and the Suns.

After seeing his star point guard shoot just 2-13 and put forth even less than his usual defensive effort, Nellie decided to give him "some much-needed rest."

If there's anyone who knows what it's like to be hungover all the way until the next night, it's Don Nelson.

What does this tell us about Baron Davis? Say what you want about Stephen Jackson and his propensity for firing guns in public places, but he would have been there for his team, ice cream cake and cookies be damned. In fact, he poured in 16 of his team-high 23 points in the third quarter to not only erase the Suns 14 point halftime lead but build a 5 point cushion for the Warriors. This all occurred while Baron Davis was sitting on the bench taking pulls from a bottle of Pedialyte.

Turns out the fans at Oracle Arena have put their faith in a rather selfish player, a phony, a fake.

Baron played his cards right. They have a lottery pick now. Even though they really don't need one since they are better than all but 4-5 East teams.
